Johnny Wags His Tail, The Book (8.5 x11 ~ 42 pages), tells the story of a mistreated dog named Johnny. It chronicles Johnny’s journey from animal control, rescue shelter, and finally to a new loving home. It centers on his tail never wagging because of his past sad life and draws you in with each chapter waiting to find out if Johnny ever wags his tail. It is unique in that it deals with a delicate subject like animal abuse, but appeals to all animal lovers, specifically young readers with universal appeal that touches the heart of everyone, including adults.

Have provided a diary of Johnny's journey in a three book series set which begins with Johnny Wags His Tail and remaining books in progress.

Johnny Wags His Tail © 2013 – The Book

Johnny Wags His Tail is a heartwarming story about the trials and tribulations of an abused dog. It is the true story of an abused dog that found everlasting love based entirely on my experience with my husband to adopt an un-adoptable dog. We found Johnny in a local pet rescue just before Christmas 2011 and have spent past eight years working to help stop abuse with Johnny's story. This is our mission to use Johnny’s story as your reminder to always give back what they give us - unconditional love, respect, and kindness - and never ask for anything in return.

The book was finalized in 2013 and worked to get it published and out to the public. We experienced the sadness of taking care of an abused dog and over the next two years observed that Johnny's tail never wagged so made this the foundation of the book. We are now making it available so Johnny's story can be told and educate everyone especially children to never harm a dog, cat, horse or any animal.

Dedicated to Pet Rescuers

We created this book, website and Facebook page, Johnny Wags, since 2013 to honor and support Pet Rescuers across our country. The book to teach our youth to never mistreat any animal, the Facebook page to show the gritty reality that Pet Rescuers deal with every day and this website to tell Johnny's story. Pet Rescuers are our heroes who work tirelessly to give all furry creatures a better life by their actions. They are on the front lines setting up their station weekly at rescue centers, strip plazas or in pet stores trying to find that one person who will match their rescued pet. These selfless Pet Rescuers’ only goal is to find a home for their sweet dogs, cats or horses and know in their hearts that their future will be secure and that they saved a loving soul. Our mission statement is to educate our young readers to never ever mistreat or disrespect a dog, cat, horse or any animal and love them all unconditionally.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to 501(c) (3) non-profit organizations.
